{"id":7732,"date":"2022-01-24T08:15:16","date_gmt":"2022-01-24T07:15:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/en\/?p=7732"},"modified":"2024-02-22T14:34:39","modified_gmt":"2024-02-22T13:34:39","slug":"photovoltaic-revamping-repower-chooses-mrp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/en\/2022\/01\/24\/photovoltaic-revamping-repower-chooses-mrp\/","title":{"rendered":"Photovoltaic revamping: REPOWER chooses MRP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MRP assisted <strong>Repower Renewable (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.repower.com\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Repower Group<\/a>)<\/strong> as technical advisor in the <strong>photovoltaic revamping <\/strong>and repowering of <strong>13 PV systems in Italy<\/strong> for a <strong>total power of over 23 MWp<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The contract assignment is divided into 3 distinct phases, which involved the various MRP teams:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Phase 1: <strong>assets evaluation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Phase 2: <strong>operations optimization<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Phase 3: <strong>inspection &amp; tests<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7716 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20210921_193400-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"revamping fotovoltaico bifacciale tracker biassiale\" width=\"510\" height=\"383\" \/> \u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7715 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/mrp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20210921_191513-scaled-e1641984479163.jpg\" alt=\"revamping fotovoltaico bifacciale tracker biassiale\" width=\"510\" height=\"383\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20210921_191513-scaled-e1641984479163.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20210921_191513-scaled-e1641984479163-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20210921_191513-scaled-e1641984479163-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMG_20210921_191513-scaled-e1641984479163-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>The MRP phases in photovoltaic revamping and repowering projects<\/h2>\n<h3>Phase 1: assets evaluation<\/h3>\n<p>The analysis of Repower&#8217;s plants identified the interventions to be carried out, with a preliminary assessment of the costs \/ benefits and the technical feasibility for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>revamping<\/strong>:restoration of the full functionality of the system, for the original power section, with bifacial modules<\/li>\n<li><strong>repowering<\/strong>: installation of a new section of the plant intended for the production and sale of energy to the grid, often using the surface and \/ or the structures freed thanks to the higher efficiency of the new photovoltaic modules installed in the revamping.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In particular, thanks to over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/contatti\/chi-siamo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">20 years experience<\/a> in the sector, MRP&#8217;s activity was focused on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/2021\/02\/02\/campo-prova-fotovoltaico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">validation tests<\/a> of the technology <\/strong>to choose for the revamping and\u00a0 repowering, with the <strong>selection of different suppliers and technologies of modules and inverters <\/strong>through\u00a0 <strong>measurements and active monitoring in the field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Phase 2: operations optimization<\/h3>\n<p>The subsequent study of the structures and the evaluation of different system configurations made it possible to <strong>optimize the interventions to be performed<\/strong>, considering the following parameters:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>unit power <\/b>of the modules to be installled<\/li>\n<li><strong>physical dimensions<\/strong> and fixing systems<\/li>\n<li><strong>string configuration<\/strong> (voltages \/ currents with inverter)<\/li>\n<li><strong>detailed technical choices<\/strong> in the EPC\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrpenergy.it\/2021\/01\/29\/a2a-sceglie-mrp-fotovoltaico-check-up-progettazione-revamping-repowering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">executive project<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Phase 3: inspection &amp; tests<\/h3>\n<p>Upon arrival of the modules at the plants sites, the MRP specialists carried out the inspections <strong>according to the internal procedures<\/strong> for acceptance.
